At Amani, we believe in the power of culturally sensitive small livestock initiatives to uplift communities. 🐓
✨ In 2021, Christian & Elizabeth Brady began funding an ambitious pig husbandry and biogas initiative at our center. Long-time supporters of Amani, the Brady Family generously launched Amani's leap towards financial and dietary self-sufficiency.
🌍 This project and our other agricultural programs integrate pigs, goats, cows, and chickens to create diversified income sources to fund our operations and address nutritional needs at our center.
🐖 Livestock, such as pigs, poultry, and small ruminants, are vital for protein-rich diets. Donor contributions like the Brady's ensure that our children have access to a diversified and protein-packed menu compared to children outside our program. This is especially crucial in communities where protein deficiency is common. 🥚🍗
