Visit Amani orphanage

On 13 September, after 2 years absence due to the Corona pandemic, we were able to visit the children of Amani again and we were happy to see that the orphanage was doing well.

Thank You JMM

Amani home before and after

This year, thanks to a project fully funded by one of our wonderful supporting partners, Juntos Mola Mas, volunteers, staff members, and the children all worked to distribute mountains of pebbles on our home grounds. Juntos Mola Mas also helped renovate Amani’s multipurpose room. The children now have a beautiful room for studying and other […]

Pig and Gas Project

We need a safe and reliable source of energy for Amani Children’s Home. Right now, the center experiences (sentence ends here) frequent energy shortages? A former student of mine has been working for many years to support Amani Children’s Home in Mto wa Mbu, Tanzania. This is an amazing home for underserved children in their […]

Thank You Jordan – Walking With Jordan

Jordan, one of the collaborators

We live in a time where many of us feel more isolated and disconnected than ever.  For Amani, COVID-19 has caused an unprecedented dip in donations and the cancellations of nearly half our sponsorships. In the absence of airplane travel and face-to-face gatherings, the distance between Amani Children’s Home and the rest of our community […]

Children's beds

On 29 December 2019, Eddy and Chantal together with their son Jan and two friends from Belgium visited us again and brought food (rice, beans, fruit) for our children and money which will be used to replace the tiles of the boy’s dormitory. They were able to do so with help from family, colleagues, and […]

When Kids Help Kids

This November, Eddy and Chantal from Belgium visited us again and brought some food (rice, beans, and bananas) for our children, some books for the new library, and a generous financial donation towards our 2018 solar project. They raised this money with the help of family, friends, and one incredible twelve-year-old girl. Lotte, a young […]

Edna has been a great supporter of Amani orphanage for many years and she has done […]

Thanks Leap!

Volunteers from Leap visited last month and generously helped us reconnect and improve our water facilities. Thanks Leap for your donations of food and hard work! Now, even during the historic drought affecting much of East Africa, we have a reliable supply of fresh water for drinking, watering and washing!

Thank You Richard and Mable Seymour

We’d like to celebrate the long-time contribution of two of our donors, Richard and Mable Seymour, by featuring a write up in their own words. “Our Involvement with Amani Orphanage In Tanzania, Africa.” We visited Amani Orphanage on April 11, 2013 while on tour of Kenya and Tanzania with Vantage Travel. Our tour director was […]
